After experimenting with pastels, what did you discover about blending colors?

pastels blend easily
ReplyDeleteBlending colours looks better thatn when some one use one straight colour like by using dark colours and mixing them togetther to make shadows and then dont press as hard tomake light spots on the page.
ReplyDeleteI think that blending alot of colour without using black will make a very simular colour to black. I also think that blending colours look better than just using one straight colour.
ReplyDeleteI learned that if you try to put a light color over a dark color it doesn't work very well. I also learned that if you want to make a a color but you don't want to use the direct color you can mix the colors like if you want to make green you can mix yellow and blue. Also try not to use black in your picture us other dark colors instead. Instead of useing your finger to blend colors you can use a white pastel to mix the colors. Try to make shadows and highlights to make your picture the best it can be.

I think blending colours is really cool you cant really blend coulours with just markers or pencil crayons or anything or else it wont look good like exspecilly with markers if you try to go over them with other markers it gets to heavy and it startes to rip the page I think the steps are cool like Beginner and Devolping or Developed I think the orange that you showed us is realy really cool I never knew that It could happen like that. I also Learned that you can shade easily at first and than if yo start getting harder well than it look cool also the Shadows I think are really cool like you leave it white or you just like shadew it lightly.

Well working with patels has been fun for and very interesting. I have learned that blending colors and highlighting in a picture makes it look very realistic and also make you look like a better drawer. I also noticed that just using black looks different than blending dark colors. Working with pastels was exciting and enjoying to me!

I've learned not ot press so hard opn the paper our your mark well come out really dark. With blending it is aloyt easier to blend then with marker. I think that working with pastels is alot of fun
ReplyDeleteI've learned working with pastels is alot of fun and it is easy. Don't press to hard or the color will come out really dark. Blending colors with the pastel is a lot easier then blending with marker.

I have learned that when you blend the colour it look alot better then when you don't blened it and when you use white on a dark colour it looks better than the light colours sometimes

I found that it blends really easy. I learned if you want to take away some color that you can take paper and smudge it away and also blend. I like to use pastels because I think it has a unique color.

I learend that when you mix a dark color with a white color it doesn't work very well. If you color dark the first color and try to color over it, you won't get anything good because the colors won't blend. However, light colors with light colors and blending them together. When you blend you will get a very nice picture.

I learned how to draw better and quicker with pastels. I also learned that if you make a mistake with pastels it is easier to fix, then with pencil. When you blend color it looks better then useing one simple color.
ReplyDeleteWhen your blending light colors over dark colors it doesn't work that great. Also if you put white pastel in your colors it blends easyer than using your hands or fingers

I experiansts that if you blend a light color with a another color it will look more realistic.

I learnt that you can draw awhole bunch of types of pictures like still life, landscapes and portraits.

To make dark colors btight you can blend them with any light color. there is three steps to make it look good using pastels blend colors, use lots of colors and show highlights.

you can blend colors and you experiment and make diffrent colors and you can press hard so it is good and you go liter to make shadows and it will make it look 3d

I am in Mr. Nordstrums art class, I have learned allot bout pastels and collor blending. I enjoy art allot. I lso learned that if you get oil pastels on youèr clothing, it does not wash out easy.

When you blend all the different blues together you make a darker blue.also when you mix blue and yellow together you make green.But if you use all the colors you make a yuckey color.

I really like blending colours in the sky or water because after it looks really good. i think that pastels blend the best!

when you blend a really light colour like yellow with white, you get mostly white. To make it look darker, you should add orange, pink, and red. If you want to make it more realistic, make some swirls around it to make sun beams

I learned that I should not use very much black in my picture or sketch because you can just blend dark colors to make a blackish color so that you do not have just plain colors you have blended ones to make it look more interesting!
